Estimate your Self Assessment tax bill
Use this service to work out an estimate of:
- the Income Tax, National Insurance and Capital Gains Tax on your Self Assessment tax return
- any student loan repayments and High Income Child Benefit Charge
- how much to pay by 31 January and 31 July, including payments on account
You can use it for the tax years from 6 April 2023 to 5 April 2028. Most people filing a return now need the tax year 2025 to 2026.
It takes around 10 to 20 minutes, depending on your income.
Start nowBefore you start
You may need:
- your P60 or P45, and your P11D if you had work benefits
